We hope you are doing well! Despite these challenging times, our team has been able to make some good progress, and release new features, and migrate several existing ones from Dashboard 1.0 to Dashboard 2.0. See more details after the jump!
We extended our Crawl Wizard tool. This new option allows you to generate a Work Package when you set up a Content Extraction crawl.
The previous export menu has been moved to the new Dashboard 2.0. We added a detailed view option, so if you select one of the list items, all the export related information will appear for review. We also offer you the option to download multiple files, so retrieving several languages at once just became a lot less painful.
Detailed view:
We have been working a lot on the new Pages menu, and we improved the former version by adding several new features.
As you can see, the new Pages list contains not only the former Pages menu, but the Resources, and External Links as well.
Several new Proxy modes have been added to the new Pages section:
From now on, you can export the pages, resources or external pages in CSV format, as well. This format is more useful for projects with extremely long page lists, where Excels are prohibitively large. We also created new filtering options for you:
If you click on a page, you can see further information about it, including translation progress:
Easier resource translation process in action:
We extended the Publishing settings with Global settings, where you can set up access control for all languages, and blocking or serving old content for bots. This is most useful when you want to control costs from search indexing agents, while retaining the ability to serve living viewers.
From now on, we provide you with an extended version of the Sales Wizard Tool, where you can choose Discovery instead of Content extraction, for times when you just want to quote your prospect, but not yet demo the power of Easyling.
We migrated all of the project and account level third party integrations to the new Dashboard 2.0:
A new workflow role checking feature has been added to Workbench, which makes the working process easier. With this feature you don’t need to switch between workflow roles in order to be able to edit segments that belong to different roles. For example, if you are a Proofreader2, you will be able to edit and/or confirm segments that belong to the upstream roles (Proofreader, Translator in this case).
We added a new button to WorkBench, which opens preview in Dummy mode:
This new filter allows you to see segments that were last modified between the dates you set (and on them, the date selectors are inclusive). All actions that modify the translation of a segment are considered. However, actions that leave the target the same like confirming or locking it aren’t tracked.
This feature can help you track the changes made to the content better . As an example, you can filter for segments edited after you last imported content to the proxy to see all the segments that were successfully imported. This way, you can check them in context and spot potential layout issues that arise from text expansion or misplaced tags.
By default, these two options are disabled in the Crawl Wizard tool, and as a result, the crawl will be faster.
If you enable the option called Collect resources from external domains as well, then the crawl will check the content-type of the external links by preflight request instead of just populating them.
By introducing the other new option called Process links, we also started semantically filtering the URLs so the crawler won’t collect the following links when the resource collection is disabled:
